Chariot Construction Company is a Licensed Contractor organized and registered in the State of Minnesota. Over the past twenty-two years, Chariot has managed hundreds of construction projects in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Texas; building luxury executive homes and commercial properties. Recent projects include renovation of the Indian Hills Country Club, construction of the Bloomington Healthcare Center and development of the Mahtomedi Business Park.

Our Director of Development and President of Chariot Construction is Michael D. Johnson. Mr. Johnson is well-suited, extensively qualified, and ideally positioned to successfully guide and lead the company. He has cultivated strong relationships with government officials and local regulatory agencies.

In addition to receiving an Associate Degree from Lakewood College, Michael holds a Minnesota Contractor’s License, a Building Inspector’s Certificate, and is a Master Cement Mason. He has worked in the construction industry ever since his graduation from North St. Paul High School, where he was active in sports and student affairs. Michael received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy as a Shipfitter: naturally a construction-related rank. He has worked with some of the major commercial construction firms in the Twin Cities Area including Krause-Anderson Development, McGough Company and Stiglich Construction.

Michael has on-the-job experience in plan review, structural inspection, mechanical inspection, electrical inspection, masonry, plumbing, heating and conditioning and building codes and standards. He has managed and supervised contracts from initial conception through to final occupancy: project design, development, government negotiation (PCA, DNR, ADA), zoning, permits, soil management, bidding, scheduling, material acquisition, subcontracting, vendor control, site safety, inspections and job administration.
